I
was speaking to my happy grandma last night on her birthday when I
asked her, “how old are you now?” showing how irrelevant my question
was, she replied, “I don’t know, ask your mother?” Then I thought, “wow,
she doesn’t care! No wonder she is so healthy and still chops wood with
an axe to feed a gang of grand kids. She wouldn’t do that if she knew
she was perhaps 90, she would be behaving 90- walking with a stick.
Wouldn’t life be best if we could just live excitingly and have someone
like God know all the details whether we are 90 or fat or ugly or poor
or bad or intelligent?”
Matthew 6:30-34 teaches us not to worry
about needs in this world but rather seek God and let tomorrow worry for
itself. How do you do that?
Genesis 3:7 AMP Then the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew... that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves apron-like girdles.
Before Adam and Eve ate the fruit out of a tree of knowledge of good
and evil, they didn’t even know that they were naked. Hence they
wouldn’t have even known or worry when they were fat or ugly or poor or
rich or without a partner, it wouldn’t matter! Hence whatever God brings
or gives them they would be excited like Adam when given a wife, Eve.
Today, when women know that they are turning 25 or 30, they panic and
start looking for a man, just any man, to get themselves married. When
men know they are 40, they start preparing for retirement, lose passions
and visions and get middle-life crisis. What if we did not know or care
about our age or all these menopause or other good and evil knowledge
in the world, wouldn’t we live a better, healthier and adventurous life?
My lords, Christ died to restore us back to what we were created to be
before Adam ate the fruit of knowledge. Man was created not to know and
worry about things of this world but to trust in God who must know
everything for you. Cast your burdens unto Jesus and let Him worry about
it, be still and know He is God- that's what we must know. Just live
and enjoy life!
