My Lords, thank you for keeping me in your prayers. I feel strength out of nowhere when I am powerless. From a young age when I felt bad about myself at home and school, it was the Christians that treated me like a star (until today) and they built my confidence. That’s why I love you truly from the heart.
Wouldn’t you want to be an yourself but still be respected by the whole world where the rich and educated people come begging for help while you intimidate rulers and wise people, People may have what you don’t have on the outside but still they see you as superior. You are not afraid and no one can shake you or change who you are. They try to destroy your influence and the more they try, the bigger you become. Yet you are still not good looking, rich, super educated, or appealing on the outside e.t.c. Very few like Mandela enjoyed the confidence that Jesus had.
Some people think they will gain confidence (feel good about themselves) either when or if
1. Finish education
2. start working
3. get married
4. buy expensive clothes or car or materials things
5. you were like that guy or that girl with that gift or privileges e.t.c.
6. you were that race or born in that family… NON SENSE!
We plan to gain confidence out of things from the outside. the same. You can see it from the names we give our children, personalizing of car registration tags, people we marry e.t.c. We are not confident of ourselves but NEED something or someone to ADD value to us. I am renewing my mind as a victim of this foolishness. The word of God show us How to be confident and powerful like Jesus.
Jesus did not get His confidence because He was good looking or rich, in fact AS I READ THE SCRIPTURES, I GET AN IDEA THAT JESUS WAS NOT AN ATTRACTIVE GUY PHYSICALLY AND HE POSSIBLY WORE ORDINARY CLOTHES THAT A PLUMBER WOULD WEAR TODAY. Before you kill me, let me explain why ..
Isaiah 53:2-3 NLT My Servant grew up in the LORD's presence like a tender green shoot, like a root in dry ground. THERE WAS NOTHING BEAUTIFUL OR MAJESTIC ABOUT HIS APPEARANCE, NOTHING TO ATTRACT US TO HIM. 3 He was despised and rejected—a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we did not care.
I read A LOT of translations and they all say the same thing that He was not physically attractive or dressed like a good income person. Entlik the message Bible say “THERE WAS NOTHING ATTRACTIVE ABOUT HIM, NOTHING TO CAUSE US TO TAKE A SECOND LOOK. HE WAS LOOKED DOWN ON AND PASSED OVER,”
So I don’t understand the long hair handsome Jesus I see in pictures. Clearly it’s not Him. That one is created by non-spiritual and religious people trying to that attract our human outward senses and to gain our hearts into loving their god and religion.
My Lords, God is not like humans. For us a hero has to be good looking like Vin Diesel, Van Damme or that guy in Prison Break or in extreme cases like me (LOL… God is good).
Some people think if they had a nose or curves or hair like somebody else they would be better (confident). Guys, Jesus was not attractive but yet He drew millions of people to Him. Why? Because people treat you they way you see yourself. I have done an offering on this already.
If people were to choose a Jesus (king/Hero) this is how we would choose…

This is how the Lord choose and we can not change Him..
1 Samuel 16:7 GNB But the LORD said to him(Samuel trying to choose in his way), "PAY NO ATTENTION TO HOW TALL AND HANDSOME HE IS. I HAVE REJECTED HIM, BECAUSE I DO NOT JUDGE AS PEOPLE JUDGE. THEY LOOK AT THE OUTWARD APPEARANCE, BUT I LOOK AT THE HEART."
Samuel was a prophet of God and I am not surprised that even in church today, they choose according to the looks and the outward deeds that people can see. But you wonder why God would choose sick sinners like me or the worst of all sinners, the chief of sinners himself, Paul (1 Timothy 1:15 KJV )… I’m really tired of the weakly question about ‘who writes this offerings, where do you get the time or where do you get this stuff from?’
I will answer once and for all :-
Haven’t I revealed myself this year with my profile and all? Don’t we have 24 hrs in a day (do you love the Lord, how do you spend yours)? Don’t we have the Bible and the Holy Spirit to interpret? Am I supposed to read of what others write about God while He is in me for me to know Him? What? Am I not good enough to be used directly by God? After all these years when I am sharing and pouring my heart, making a fool out of myself so you can gain what I gain, you still keep asking me these ridiculous, carnal and childish questions. What’s wrong with you people? (Read 1 Corinthians 1:28)

So don’t worry all you good looking people God choose anyone, He just does not use looks as a criterion.

Why did I write all these?
DO NOT THINK THAT GOD HAS CHOSEN YOU or HAS NOT CHOSEN YOU BECAUSE OF YOUR LOOKS OR SOCIAL STATUS? THESE THINGS HAVE NO VALUE TO GOD AND HENCE IT IS STUPID TO BE CONFIDENT or NOT CONFIDENT DUE TO THESE THINGS.
Jesus did not need to be good looking or wear expensive clothes. We loose who Jesus is and start idolizing the white guy that we hanging his pictures of in our cars and rooms. That’s not Jesus! Jesus is an inside guy that I will explain later. The outside of Jesus did not have any power. He was an ordinary carpenter and people underestimated Him Mark 6:3 NLT Then they scoffed, "He's just a carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And His sisters live right here among us." They were deeply offended and refused to believe in Him.
The point is that He was like me and you, went through the same challenges and there was nothing he could be confident about as a human (the outside). I will discuss later His source of confidence but for now Let me start by
False confidence
I have seen people who grew up suffering or around close relatives (parents) who suffered ( from abuse or poverty or inferiority complex, or sick or feeling ugly, inferior). These individuals don’t treat their problem but work hard out of anger or fear that they don’t ever get to suffer and some make it. Which is good but the driving force (e.g. anger) was wrong and this destroys the same person’s life. The person remains empty.
I have seen women who grew up with abused mothers working hard to be independent financially (good) but they end up single and doing some disgraceful things. Unless if it the Lord’s special will, I don’t believe that anyone should be single.
I have seen men gaining confidence only after starting to make some money. I have literally heard a guy proposing a girl talking about what businesses and money he has. A guy has taken my business cards and used them to catch girls.
Another problem I have with false confidence people is that not only do they destroy themselves, they abuse and destroy others i.e. when they are in power, they abuse people. A poor guy turned rich enjoys the false confidence and he wants to remain superior, he oppress others instead of uplifting them. Now that you are educated, you go home and mistreat ignorant people in offices or rob them of their money with all these terms and conditions clauses.
A man who has not dealt with his problem, take it out on his wife. Some men are intimidated by intelligent women. How stupid is that? According to me, women are supposed to be more intelligent that men. Why ? …

• Eve was tempted of her own desire for KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM.
Genesis 3:6 NLT 6 The woman was convinced. She saw that the tree was beautiful and its fruit looked delicious, and SHE WANTED THE WISDOM IT WOULD GIVE HER. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. Then she gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it, too.
• Why didn’t the serpent tempt Adam and why did Eve desire wisdom and knowledge?
Genesis 2:18 NLT Then the LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a HELPER who is just right for him."
A HELPER HELPING IN WHAT? the Kitchen? Does that require so much WISDOM and knowledge?
• There is someone else who is also brought into the world as a helper…
John 14:16 AMP And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (COUNSELOR, HELPER, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever--
John 14:26 ESV But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
A HELPER IS THE COUNSELOR OR ADVISOR. A MAN IS LIKE A PRESIDENT AND THE WOMAN IS SUPPOSED TO BE LIKE THE ADVISER. SINCE WHEN IS THE PRESIDENT (LEADER) MORE INTELLIGENT THAN THE ADVISOR IF POSSIBLE, IS THERE A NEED FOR AN ADVISOR?
Why shouldn’t a woman be more intelligent? From primary school until university in Engineering, it was always the girls leading in highest marks in my class. Why all of a sudden are we intimidated by intelligent women?
I attended some brotherhood meeting where we were discussing temptations and attractions by women. One brother mentioned that he is attracted to intelligence than beauty.
It is laid in my spirit that the problems in the world today, are because we built this world (industries) without the input (advice or expertise) of women (whom God has designed specifically to help us ). Think about it, dont you think that the cars would be SAFER and the ozone layer and air would be CLEAN?
The very same mistake we are doing with the Holy Spirit that the Lord has given us. WE HAVE ALL THE HELP OR THE POWER WE NEED WITH US BUT WE DON’T USE IT.
I heard a lady minister say that women need to be listened to.
We know too much and have answers for everything that we don’t listen to Holy Spirit. This morning, I had a thought that women do not speak but hold something inside because WE DON’T CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OR ATMOSPHERE COMFORTABLE FOR THEM TO SPEAK. If you are not approachable (angry, uptight, serious e.t.c.) or you are judgmental or analytical like me or too busy, she’s not gonna speak with you. Even if she does, you wont hear her. ( and we wonder why women flood to the pastors’ house all the time, wake up!).
Fellows, I know this is hard (not natural) for us but it is the path the Lord designed for us and it is very critical. That’s the way they are, we don’t understand them but God made them for us. I learnt the hard way. Women speak softer and gentle like the Holy Spirit (I believe even Pink, the rock star does off stage).
MY LORDS, WE NEED TO CREATE THE RIGHT ENVIRONMENTS FOR THE HOLY SPIRIT TO SPEAK TO US. WE CAN NOT HEAR HIS GENTLE VOICE IF WE ARE BUSY TRYING TO SOLVE PROBLEMS OR BEING SHAKEN BY THOUGHTS OR LIVING IN SIN OR ANY ‘NOISY’ ENVIRONMENT. YOU MUST BE PREPARED TO LISTEN (SHUT DOWN YOUR INTELLIGENCE), BE CALM, CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT FOR HIM (NOT FOR YOU) E.G. LISTEN/READ THE WORD, FAST, WORSHIP E.T.C.
Sisters, you need to submit to the leader of the House (men) as it is the order that God has chosen. Read Proverbs 31 and see how an intelligent business woman would make a man be a hero in the world and stil be a house wife without being arrogant and see how this man loves (values) her.
STOP THIS UNNATURAL NON-SENSE OF INDEPENDENCE. Even me as a guy, I had planed on getting married since I was about 13. I am not saying that we must be with a wrong or abusive partner (DON’T!) but I am saying DON’T PLAN TO BE SINGLE BECAUSE OF ANGER OR DISAPPOINTMENT WHILE GOD DID NOT DESIGN YOU TO BE SINGLE. WE ALL MEET WRONG PEOPLE ALL THE TIME, SATAN WANTS MEN TO COMPLAIN ABOUT WOMEN AND WOMEN ABOUT MEN I.E. DESPISE GOD’S INTELLIGENCE. IF GOD DESIGNED SOMETHING, THEN IT IS PERFECT. LADIES, PLEASE STOP BELIEVING IN VAN DAMME HEROES FROM FAIRY TAILS.. ‘I WANT A MAN WHO IS SENSITIVE, CARING, WITH A HEART AFTER GOD, LOVING, GOOD. WHO IS ON EARTH IS LIKE THAT?
NO HUMAN BEING IS GOOD EVEN JESUS HIMSELF REFUSED TO BE CALLED GOOD (Mark 10:18 NLT "Why do you call Me good?" Jesus asked. "Only God is truly good.). ONLY GOOD IS GOOD AND BY BEING ALIED TO HIM AND HIM LIVING THROUGH US, WE ARE SEEN AS GOOD OR WE BECOME ‘GOOD’ RELATIVELY. SATAN CAN NOT BE GOOD WITH ONLY ONE REASON.. HE CAN NOT HAVE GOD. THIS IS THE BIGGEST AND WORST PUNISHMENT. THIS IS WHY YOU PEOPLE MUST BE CONFIDENT. THE ONLY ONE THING THAT WOULD MAKE YOU GO THROUGH TOUGH LIFE IN CONFIDENCE IS BECAUSE YOU KNOW YOU HAVE GOD IN YOU AND YOU HAVE HIS JOY IN TRIBULATIONS, SOMETHING THE WORLD CANT UNDERSTAND. THEY CAN TAKE EVERYTHING IS USELESS BUT ALL YOU NEED IS GOD, YOUR CONFIDENCE.
SO THERE IS NO GOOD MEN, ALL YOU ARE GETTING IS US ( LIKE ALL WE ARE GETTING IS YOU). IF GOD DESIGNED MEN AND WOMEN AND HE LIKED IT, THEN IT IS GOOD FOR US. SO WOMEN ARE GOOD AND MEN ARE VERY GOOD (*WINK* ) WHEN THEY HAVE GOD IN THEM, CASE CLOSED!
Men need to deal with their low-self esteem; and the church need to stop punishing/abusing women because of low-self esteem-men. The world/ God need healthy men (like David) and women restored to their original design or purpose (Genesis – dominion on earth) because this is what Jesus died for ( not to take us to Heaven or to create some group of weird people called by His name to differentiate themselves from their lost brothers and sisters).
My Lords, when you are really confident, you do not find a need to hurt others but instead you desire to help them.
My Pastor told us of a nurse with false confidence, who abused an usher at the church door. Later she met that usher as a Dean when she was looking for a job. The man knew he was and was confident enough not to fight her when she was misbehaving.
A woman who knows that she is really beautiful (like Sarah) is never rude. When you speak with her, she is very patient with you because she can see that you are struggling, she is confident that her beauty is messing you up, she even help you when you are not making sense. If she accepts you, you can tell that it’s not because of your money, intelligence or anything. You could not afford her, she could be approached by someone far more richer than you in the next 30 seconds. It must be something out of the outside, something more superior.
True confidence
Pastor Victor Mundy showed me that Paul, who was educated ( having PHD’s I think), being a Jew, a leader of an army. This guy could have been confident about that .
Acts 22:3 NLT Then Paul said, "I am a Jew, born in Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, and I was brought up and educated here in Jerusalem under Gamaliel. As his student, I was carefully trained in our Jewish laws and customs. ..”
But instead he is proud of…
Galatians 6:14-15 NLT As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world's interest in me has also died. 15 It doesn't matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation.
When you are born-again and filled with the Spirit, all the things of the world become so small to even boost your confidence. Honestly, many people give me an impression that I was supposed to be proud of the multi-abilities that the Lord has given me for His sake. You never hear me boasting about it. Honestly, I have seen more failure in my life than successes and my confidence do not come from my successes. MY CONFIDENCE COME FROM BELIEVING AND KNOWING THAT AS I AM FAILING AND AFTER EXHAUSTING ALL OF MY INTELLIGENCE, SOME SUPERNATURAL POWER IN ME WOULD DEFINITIVELY PERFORM SOME MIRACLE. I AM DEPENDANT ON HIM.
THE WORK OF SALVATION IS MUCH MORE SUPERIOR THAN ANYTHING. I FEEL VERY SMALL WHEN I REALIZED WHO GOD IS BUT YET SO HUMBLE. DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A CHILD OF GOD? DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS TO HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT BEING IN YOU?
Let me give you a hint… BEFORE THE CROSS, NO ONE EVER WAS CLEAN ENOUGH TO BE FILLED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT (GOD). THE BLOOD OF JESUS MADE YOU AS CLEAN AS JESUS (GOD) AND YOU BETTER LIVE LIKE IT !
1. The Power in us, The confidence of Jesus
Check this out… Jesus was quite all the time they were accusing Him of things but He opens His mouth when they ask Him one question…
Matthew 27:11 NLT Now Jesus was standing before Pilate, the Roman governor. "Are You the king of the Jews?" the governor asked Him. Jesus replied, "You have said it."
Jesus’ CONFIDENCE CAME FROM KNOWING THAT HE IS A KING EVEN THOUGH HE DID NOT LOOK LIKE IT. AS A RESULT JESUS LIVED AND WALKED THIS EARTH LIKE A KING. HE INTIMIDATED THE HEROD AND RELIGIOUS RULERS BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT CONTAIN (CONTROL) HIM. HE HAD NOTHING BUT LIVED LIKE A KING.
Matthew 3:17 NLT And a voice from heaven said, "This is My dearly loved Son, who brings Me great joy."
That was enough to give Jesus confidence going around calling Himself the son of man and doing great things.
YOU SEEK CONFIDENCE ON WRONG THINGS BECAUSE YOU LACK KNOWLEDGE OF WHO YOU ARE. Paul told us many times that we are CHILDREN OF GOD. BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF JESUS POSSESSING THE VERY SAME SPIRIT (POWER) JESUS DID.
The only time you separate real children of God and church goers is during the storms. In fact, you CAN ONLY SEE THE POWER OF GOD WHEN YOU GO THROUGH ROUGH TIMES.
If you are born of God you count it joy when problems come because it is about time that you see the mighty hand of God in you. Chicken Christians run around looking for help from prophets or to be felt sorry for by people…
We look into God knowing that whatever comes our way, went through Him first and He weighed it and allowed it. If it is painful, we know that He feels pain with us. Infact He cries .. John 11:35 NLT Then Jesus wept.
And Jesus did not do anything He doesn’t see the father do… I know God loves me too much. I have never seen angels or God or supernatural things but all I have is my faith testifying deep inside my Spirit. I even make statements like “ if the devil has power, we will believe if he destroys me”. All I have is the Bible and my confidence come from scriptures like
Zechariah 2:8 ESV For thus said the LORD of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, FOR HE WHO TOUCHES YOU TOUCHES THE APPLE OF HIS EYE:
We need confident brethren whom whether they have material things or not, it makes no difference in their faith or confidence. Their confidence come from knowing that they are God’s beloved perfect children through the blood of Jesus. THOUGH WE WALK THROUGH THE VALLEYS, OR WEAPONS ARE FORMED AGAINST US, WE SHALL STEP ON SERPENTS AND SCORPIONS AND GO THROUGH FIRES TO COME OUT UNHARMED. AND WHEN THE WORLD SEES THAT, THEY WOULD DRAW TO US BECAUSE WE HAVE THE FRUITS OF JESUS AND THE LORD IS WORSHIPED.
Many times I had people befriending me seeing my confidence thinking that I must be rich or something but they find that I have nothing in everything. I give out my stuff.
When you have God, you really don’t need anything. I am made like God. God is complete and doesn’t need anything from anyone especially us. He made you like Him so you can be fulfilled. Adam sold that right and Jesus redeemed it. So live like it !
