The enemy knows what the Lord said in Genesis, so he has been waiting in anticipation, watching every pregnant woman and attempting to destroy them before they give birth. He does this by causing confusion, deception, depression, fear and all other attacks that make some women withdraw and run into the caves of mediocrity, playing-safe and hiding-behind-a-man lifestyles. In fact, when Marry became pregnant, her fiancé rejected her. This is one of the biggest attacks that you will get if you are pregnant with the power of God: people would not understand you (including religious people), they would reject you, and you would have a choice to follow God or quit (or shrink) so that people can love/accept you.
Matthew 10:34-39 NLT "Don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came not to bring peace, but a sword. 35 'I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!' 37 "If you love your father or mother more than you love Me, you are not worthy of being Mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than Me, you are not worthy of being Mine. 38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow Me, you are not worthy of being Mine. 39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for Me, you will find it.
The Lord will disturb your plans (Proverbs 19:21) and normal life when He impregnates you with His power, so you can cling to it or be prepared for some pain.
Revelation 12:1-4 NLT Then I witnessed in heaven an event of great significance. I saw a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon beneath her feet, and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant, and she cried out because of her labor pains and the agony of giving birth. 3 Then I witnessed in heaven another significant event. I saw a large red dragon with seven heads and ten horns, with seven crowns on his heads. 4 His tail swept away one-third of the stars in the sky, and he threw them to the earth. He stood in front of the woman as she was about to give birth, ready to devour her baby as soon as it was born.
Ladies, I see an imposter ready to touch your baby. What are you gonna do about it? Would you sit and wait for a man hero or you would use the power that the Lord has laid in you to fight back like the 1956 Women? Don’t let anybody fool you, the enmity is between the woman and the devil, and it is too great to ignore especiaily when it is mentioned from the beginning (Genesis) to the end (Revelation) of the Bible:
Revelation 12:9 NLT This great dragon--the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world--was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.
I don’t know much about the serpents but I know one thing: they attempt to bite you because of fear of what you might do to them.
Revelation 12:13 NLT When the dragon realized that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child.
Revelation 12:15 NLT Then the dragon tried to drown the woman with a flood of water that flowed from his mouth.
Many of you are going through a lot of suffering and attacks by the enemy but you don’t even know why you are rejected by everyone, abused, losing everything and having walls before everything.
I learnt that all those women who led the 1956 March to the devil’s gates in Union buildings, had suffered attacks.
Albertina Sisulu
The Mother of the nation, Albertina Sisulu was orphaned as a teenager, her mother was constantly ill and very weak and as the eldest girl, mama-Albertina took a motherly role for her younger siblings. That cost her to fall two-years behind in school, and because she was two years older than the other learners, she was disqualified after winning a four year high school scholarship competition.
Helen Joseph
Helen Joseph was born in Easebourne, England but destined to fight for South Africa; she was arrested on a charge of high treason in December 1956 then banned in 1957. On the 13 October 1962, Helen became the first person to be placed under house arrest under the Sabotage Act that had just been introduced by the apartheid government. She narrowly escaped death more than once, surviving bullets shot through her bedroom and a bomb wired to her front gate. Her last banning order was lifted when she was 80 years old.
These women did not sit down to cry, hide or abort their mission; they could not be stopped by the serpents’ attacks. They fought! They did not even seek comfort: Mama Albertina had even planned not to get married so that she could take care of her siblings.
Lilian Ngoyi
Lilian Ngoyi was a widow with two children when she joined the ANC Women's League in 1952 and led the March. She embarked on an audacious (and highly illegal) journey to Lausanne, Switzerland in 1955 to participate in the World Congress of Mothers held by the Women’s International Democratic Federation (WIDF). She ventured in risks of taking a boat from Cape Town under “white names”, defied segregated seating on a plane bound for London and gained entry to Britain under the pretext of completing her course in bible studies. With Tamana, she would visit England, Germany, Switzerland, Romania, China and Russia, meeting women leaders often engaged in left wing politics, before arriving back in South Africa a wanted woman. Ngoyi was arrested in 1956, spent 71 days in solitary confinement, and was for a period of 11 years placed under severe bans and restrictions that often confined to her home in Orlando, Soweto. Revelation 12:6 NLT And the woman fled into the wilderness, where God had prepared a place to care for her for 1,260 days.
So we see that these women went through tremendous attacks but endured to fight for their country. The serpent doesn’t attack useless people who dont impose danger to him; I bleieve that he ignores even some ministers of the Word of God and some he even finance their ministries because they wouldnt harm him. But Satan would chase and attack the woman who has the power of God in her.
Revelation 12:14 NLT But she was given two wings like those of a great eagle so she could fly to the place prepared for her in the wilderness. There she would be cared for and protected from the dragon for a time, times, and half a time.
Revelation 12:15-17 NLT 15 Then the dragon tried to drown the woman with a flood of water that flowed from his mouth. 16 But the earth helped her by opening its mouth and swallowing the river that gushed out from the mouth of the dragon. 17 And the dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against the rest of her children--all who keep God's commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus.
Even though mama-Albertina had her scholarship unfairly withdrawn, God opened doors through Father Huss who arranged for a four year high school scholarship at Mariazell College. Even though you encounter attacks, you are never alone and the Lord has already opened ways to make you succeed. Just as He does with temptations, God would create an escape route during tough times.
1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT 13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.
You can never be harmed and you will have victory on your enemy. Trust in God who has given you that dream, that He will make it come to pass.
