Snack Offering : Pressure tested

In Engineering, before we use a vessel (tank) in operations, we first pressure test it by pressurizing it to extreme pressures. These extreme pressures are much higher than the pressures that the vessel would be operating at e.g. A vessel that is to contain nitrogen  and to normally operate at 8 bar pressure,  (it) may be pressure tested to over 100 bar pressure. We also use water for pressure testing (hydrostatic test) because  water  is much stronger and rougher (extreme) than other fluids (liquids and gases) . In addition, pressure testing takes place inside cages, holes, confined spaces or isolated areas.

Similarly, my friends. We are the vessels of God to be used for His purpose.
Rom 9:23 ESV in order to make known the riches of his glory for vessels of mercy, which he has prepared beforehand for glory--
Eph 2:10 ESV For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. also read (2 Cor.4:7)
Before we are used, He first build us and test us through extreme conditions and using extreme testers in isolated areas. David was first tested with the wild beasts before facing human obstacles (1Sa 17:36 GNB I have killed lions and bears, and I will do the same to this heathen Philistine, who has defied the army of the living God.)

Same thing with Jesus :-

Mat 4:1-3 NLT Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted there by the devil. (2) For forty days and forty nights He fasted and became very hungry. (3) During that time the devil came and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread."

Let us admit that it is God (the Holy Spirit) who let Jesus into the wilderness (isolated area) to be tested by the worst himself. Forty days and nights are very extreme conditions to be tested while hungry.

Following the 40 days test in the wilderness, I could not recall any other recorded instance where Jesus was hungry except for only one day in Mat 21:17-18 NLT “Then He returned to Bethany, where He stayed overnight. (18) In the morning, as Jesus was returning to Jerusalem, He was hungry,”

One day of hunger did not stop Jesus from fulfilling His ministry (work, operation) and we even see Him being the one feeding multitudes (Mat.14:19).

My friend, the hardship you go through is not there to destroy you but to build you so that others can gain out of it. God is aware of it and He wouldn't allow it if it were more than you can bear.

1Co 10:13 NLT The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure.

Rom 5:3-4 ESV “More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, (4) and endurance produces character, and character produces hope,”

So my friends, do not be afraid nor give up when you encounter extreme sufferings, rather be glad that you are being prepared for greater things to come. You are a valuable vessel that is being pressure tested and soon you will have endurance and character that you would walk through any trials without harm. Nothing will stop you or stand in your way after!

God bless you!
