Crying/Praying your way to victory

Announcement

My lords

I thought that I should share the message below that I shared on my wall. I will post more on our Facebook group wall and the blog  instead of the normal offerings (just for this period while working on the book). Note: The book is still being edited and should not take longer than a month to be available on print.

The offering

Sometimes as modern intellectual Christians we underestimate the power of crying to God (prayer) until our breakthroughs. When I was young, I remember that children cried for hours until they even ran out of tears & voice but they new that their mama’s were compassionate and even if they may be quite, the cry is working deep in them… Now

Matthew 7:11 NLT So if you sinful people know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good gifts to those who ask Him.

We are easily persuaded by these “ 10 steps into getting yo breakthrough” than believing in prayer:

God hears the voice of anybody who cries, even those not born again ( Heathen like Haggar)

Genesis 21:16-17 NLT Then she went and sat down by herself about a hundred yards away. "I don't want to watch the boy die," she said, as she burst into tears. (17) But God heard the boy crying, and the angel of God called to Hagar from heaven, "Hagar, what's wrong? Do not be afraid! God has heard the boy crying as he lies there.

The problem with modern Christians is that we don’t know how to cry to God into breathroughs, we are too intelligent that we want to know methods or techniques to get there.

Romans 8:26 AMP So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.

Look at this! The Spirit even has to come cry for us because we don’t know how to!

Matthew 15:26-28 NLT Jesus responded, "It isn't right to take food from the children and throw it to the dogs." (27) She replied, "That's true, Lord, but even dogs are allowed to eat the scraps that fall beneath their masters' table." (28) "Dear woman," Jesus said to her, "your faith is great. Your request is granted." And her daughter was instantly healed.

Sometimes it even feels like God is ignoring or insulting you but don’t give up. Hang on to him even if He breaks your hip like Jacob wrestle with God all night”

Genesis 32:24-27 NLT This left Jacob all alone in the camp, and a Man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break. (25) When the Man saw that He would not win the match, He touched Jacob's hip and wrenched it out of its socket. (26) Then the Man said, "Let Me go, for the dawn is breaking!" But Jacob said, "I will not let You go unless You bless me." (27) "What is your name?" the Man asked. He replied, "Jacob."

1 Samuel 1:10 NLT Hannah was in deep anguish, crying bitterly as she prayed to the LORD.

1 Samuel 1:12-13 NLT As she was praying to the LORD, Eli watched her. (13) Seeing her lips moving but hearing no sound, he thought she had been drinking.

Don’t try to be modest while you are desperate, keep crying to Him until your voice goes flat and your tears dry like Hannah until your breakthrough!
